Primo Levi: writer and chemist

Primo Levi: writer and chemist, a conference organized in Budapest on October 16 2009 to mark the Ninth Annual Week of the Italian Language in the World.

The program features a talk by Professor Luigi Dei (University of Florence) on La lezione di Primo Levi, chimico e scrittore [The Lesson of Primo Levi, Chemist and Writer]; a conversation between Vera Székács – editor of Farfalla Angelica / Angelic Butterfly, an anthology of Levi’s stories published by Noran – and Professor Ilona Fried (ELTE University of Budapest); and the opening of the exhibit Il viaggio dell’atomo di carbonio [The Journey of the Carbon Atom] (from Levi’s story, “Carbon”).
