“Primo Levi: Thinking Auschwitz to its roots”, exhibition at Kyoto Museum for World Peace from October 22 to December 17, 2011

    A journey through the images of Primo Levi and the words of those who knew him.

     

    The Kyoto Museum for World Peace and the Ritsumeikan University, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Osaka and the International Primo Levi Studies Center, organize the exhibition “Primo Levi: Thinking Auschwitz to its roots”. Images, documents and testimonies (by Bianca Guidetti Serra, Ernesto Ferrero, Renato Portesi, Anna Bravo, Alberto Cavaglion and Giovanni Tesio) to retrace works and life of Primo Levi.

    On November 5th the Museum hosts a conference by Hirohide Takeyama, the curator of the exhibition, Professor at College of Letters (Ritsumeikan University) and translator of Primo Levi’s works into Japanese.
