    Mario Barenghi’s fourth Primo Levi Lecture at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura; a whole day dedicated to Primo Levi at the University of Stockholm.

     

    "Why do we believe Primo Levi?"
    On January 23, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura “C.M. Lerici”, in collaboration with the Centro, presents a conversation between Mario Barenghi, Professor of Contemporary Italian Literature at the University of  Milano-Bicocca, and Paul Levine, Professor at the Centro Hugo Valentine in Uppsala, on the fourth Primo Levi Lecture, which has been published in spring 2013 by Einaudi.
    Moderator: Vincenzo Maggitti, lecturer at the University of Stockholm. The conversation will be held in English.

     


    Primo Levi Day
    On January 24, at the University of Stockholm, starting from 10 AM a whole day dedicated to Primo Levi will take place. The event is organised by Camilla Bardél, professor of Italian Studies at the same University.
    Opening conference on “Techniques of studying Language and Literature”; following, Monica Quirico, in charge of external relations at the Centro Studi Primo Levi will present the Centro itself and its activities to students and professors of the Department of Romance Studies and Classics.

    In the afternoon, after a reading session from The Periodic Table, at 2 PM Mario Barenghi will deliver an open lecture on "Noi trasmutatori di materia. L'autobiografia di un chimico”.
